Saab has been on the edge of collapse since a cash shortage early this year forced it to halt production. Now Automotive News reports that a last-minute payment from China's Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile has given the Swedish carmaker yet another shot. Youngman wants to get a stake in Saab and has taken the first step by giving the company $5 million to cover tax expenses, with another $26.43 million forthcoming for unpaid salaries and $13.18 million more before the end of December.
This is the new Skoda Rapid Spaceback that’s basically an estate version of the Rapid hatchback that was launched in the UK last year. Skoda wants its miniature Audi A3 Sportback-lookalike to appeal to young buyers and trendy youthful families when the car goes on sale this October, and it shouldn’t cost much more than the regular Rapid, which starts at £12,905. The new VW Golf Match
At least the Volkswagen Golf Match makes sensible use of the pun, unlike the VW Touran Match we got last summer or the Tiguan Match that turned up a couple of weeks ago. And it looks like VW are intent on wiping out the SE trim across their range and replacing it with the ‘Match Moniker’. This is much the same deal as we had with the Tiguan Match.
